We are still extreemly new to the screen printing world, i have worked in the offset printing industry but every job is still a learning experience... we are a home based business and started out with just a simple Silver Press by Ryonet which served its purpose. We are looking to upgrade to a 4station 6 color press, but the problem we have is our shop is located in he basement and the staircase has a width of only 29 inches. We have been looking into the ranar, vastex, workhorse and sidewinder. Can you give some advice to what presses would break down enough that we could get them into the shop.

That is funny actually. I recently sold a Vista 6/6 to a guy who put it through a 29 inch basement door. He had it shipped as normal so he could break it down and then set it back up himself. That way he would be familiar with the build.

The Vista 6/6 would ship on a pallet with the base, print head and pallet carousels in place. The print arms come in boxes with the remainder of the parts. The unit is very easily broken down and rebuilt. The fact that the unit is upgradable helps it be modular. One could actually have the parts shipped broken down and build the entire press oneself.

But I do think it’s a good idea to see it all put together. Anyway the point is that it can fit through a 29 inch door if you pull some parts off. You may not need to do a total breakdown depending on your situation there.

They are built differently. The Vista is a modular and upgradeable system where the Elite is not. The Vista is also a little smaller in diameter than the Elite. You can see images of both on my website. That may help you get an idea of how they differ. Function is the same. It's just the build that is different.

But they are both excellent presses.
