Ranar D1820 question

Post by Ochtees »

So we bought a ranar d1820 and it didn't have heat instructions, nor does the website. I had a few questions:

1) how far from the garment should it be? I have it at about 0.5".
2) what are the knob settin temps?
3) I got the 220 what's the average time to get up to temp?

Thanks all

What, you didn’t buy it from me? ;)

I have mine about a half an inch to an inch form the metal pallet but I have the thermostat so I can adjust heat without moving the flash head.

You have to adjust the thermostat in order so that it times with your production flow. There is no standard setting or height. It may vary depending on what you are printing. So the best bet is to adjust the height and use the thermostat to fine tune the flash cure time.

It takes my unit about 20 to 30 minutes to get nice and hot. Residual heat buildup will increase after that so it could get hotter. But your pallets will need to heat up as well so that everything comes together to time and cure properly as you work a multi-color job.

If your just using it to cure then it’s just a matter of just tweaking it out till you have the cure right.

Here is a video that talks about this in relation to multi color printing:

Just FYI I am a RANAR dealer and I can offer the entire RANAR product line with free shipping in the continental US on equipment orders over $100.
