Excalibur SportPro 1550 Inks (100% poly inks)

Post by Leadfoot »

I have been excited to try the 100% poly inks from my main ink manufacturer, Excalibur (Lancer Group). I finally got to try them out yesterday with some great results. Due to top secret status of the project I did I cannot post pics yet to not spoil the surprise for the customer. I had to mix the fresh green and lemon yellow to get a lime green to match as closely as possible the fluorescent green I had used of their opaque ink on regular apparel earlier. I got it about as close as I could by eye.

The ink is a little thick at first but seems to get easier to use as it is worked with. I got some awesome prints with no under base. The ink has great opacity on black jerseys. Once again Excalibur has done a great job. And the ink is offered in 16 colors.

Feel free to ask any questions about this ink and my experience printing the black jerseys, I will do my best to answer them.

Excalibur is some pretty decent stuff actually. I have used it and I do like it but I’m not sure how much longer I would be able to get it so I have been converting to Triangle.

I used Excalibur high opacity inks in this video with no under base:

And you still can get them with one of our vendors with a 5% discount:

That’s amazing you were able to mix a fluorescent looking ink from those 2 colors. Skills in ink mixing there... :D

Thanks for the info on the poly inks. I would say they should be pretty good with your review and my experience with their other inks.

So is Excalibur a company I should stay away from? It looks like back in December you said they might not be around for much longer. I love the results form my first run of marathon shirts (ha ha) but I want a consistent supplier for this kind of ink. Who do YOU recommend?

Thanks!

No I was referring to my representing it through a vendor I worked with. I no longer am continuing that program so I don’t promote or offer Lancer Group’s Excalibur ink. But they are still in business. The ink comes from Canada. You should be able to get it online somehwere.
