Hello and welcome. I appreciate you posting your question on the forum. Thanks for watching my videos. I’m glad to be of assistance in any way. So you’re using about a 125 mesh here in the US. That much I can make out but I am unfamiliar with your inks and emulsion from Sweden. First off are you using any off contact? And what exactly do you mean?

“the coulor makes the frame stick to the t-shirt and leaves a very bad print behind”

What part of the frame is sticking to the shirt and how? Is it the emulsion on the substrate side sticking or do you mean the ink is thick and does not shear off the mesh well?

Is this water based ink? How thick or thin is it and is the print flooded out and blotchy?

Could you post a photo of the printed shirt or how it is sticking?

Okay great. Yes off contact is very important with any screen printing but ¼ inch or more is way too much. You want to be near a 1/8th an inch to 1/16th of an inch for best results. If the off contact is too high it will cause misprints and registration problems. And you will also need to spray tack the tee shirt to the pallet so it stays put. Check out my videos on printing white ink:

Let me know if that helps. Good luck and thanks for sharing the Ryonet video. Isn’t Sunshine cute? LOL :)

Post some pictures of the print results and your screens on press. Then let us know what mesh count you are using, squeegee durometer and type of ink please. Maybe that can help me help you. ;)

You can use the Upload Attachement tab below the text area when posting.

Could a "Hit" on a hot shirt be another reason for the screens to stick onto the garment? Meaning, that right after a flash, should you wait for a moment before laying more ink down, for the garment to cool down? I saw this video
on youtube, it's a Ryonet video.. watch til about 2:10 and you'll see what I mean. I saw this video, and this topic and just had to ask.

Thanks

Yes, Chris. If the plastisol ink is hot you need to let it cool down before you print any subsequent colors on it. Printing onto hot ink can cause the screen to stick or pull up the shirt off the pallet adhesive and finally it can semi cure ink and dry it in the mesh. That's why we normally want to use a rotary press so there are cool down stations after the flash cure.
