Printing Tee Shirts With A Manual Rotary Press
For the most part rotary presses have dominated the manual screen printing category of presses due to their flexibility, durability, reliability and their speed in accuracy during repetition. No matter what anyone might tell you on YouTube or otherwise these are the industry standard here in the States. There is good reason for that which has been proven by the fact that they are industry standard. That doesn’t mean it’s exactly what you need for your printing project but it is important to understand the basic functions of a good working press in order to make decisions when buying equipment for the first time. Knowing what is used commercially to repeatedly produce high quality textile prints fast will help you better understand what you are getting into and what you might need for your particular printing application.
Here are a couple of articles that should help you understand the manual rotary screen printing press a little better:

Re: Printing Tee Shirts With A Manual Rotary Press
I use a Semi-pro Silver Press 4-1 from Ryonet. It is doing a fine job in my beginning stages. I already wish I would've gotten a 4-2 press, lol. This is a great press for those of us with small budgets to get started. I do like how it is upgradeable to a 2 station press. That is in the plans for me some day.

I always recommend getting the best equipment from the get go. Budget allowing of course but in the end it can save a lot of money and frustrations. The RANAR Vista series floor presses are upgradable too. That's what I like about the Vista series. And they are well made selling for a reasonable price.

Re: Printing Tee Shirts With A Manual Rotary Press
Hi JOn!, I´ve just saw the new "Sleeve printing" Video you uploaded, and I have a question, that is a "blue" color print over a white t shirt, you did 3 strokes without lifting or flooding the mesh, is this because of the "sleeve palet" length? how do you manage to print for ex. white ink printing over a black sleeve? will you do it the same way? or maybe will you print it with a discharge white ink?.... well, thnks for the answer and the videos and the advices Jon! it´s always big help!
see you pal!

Re: Printing Tee Shirts With A Manual Rotary Press
Thanks Pepe. I did the 3 strokes to get some good coverage and decent penetration in the knit. That’s all. With white I would still probably pull the stroke but I may double hit with a flash or use a skillful flood and soft stroke to leave down a decent amount of ink.

Re: Printing Tee Shirts With A Manual Rotary Press
i wonder why there are lots of people complaining about the Ryonet 4/1 silver press. I have been using it for a time and there are no issues occurring so far and never had an issue with it before too.. The kit that i use it the semi-pro kit which comes with everything that you will need. The trick is to master the basics rather than spending too soon on higher end equipment. You cannot just run too soon without learning how to crawl first right?
you don't know what you got, until it is gone...

Re: Printing Tee Shirts With A Manual Rotary Press
That press works for some and others don’t seem to like it but in the end what works for you is fine. But I still always recommend buying equipment based on your end goals. If all you need is a bench top press then there are many that may suffice.
But in the end you can only print in a professional manner with professional equipment. Having the right tools for the job can make or break you when time is money. That’s my personal opinion.

My Ryonet 4/1 Silver Press is doing quite well. Just wish I would've got a 2 station instead but the cool thing with these is that they are upgradeable to a 2 station.
