There are two instances in the screen printing process that may be destructive to high end lenses with premium coatings. We know that spray tack is one of the dangers for eyewear due to the fact that it mists out into the air and settles on most everything in the shop including eyewear. You can simply switch to water based pallet adhesives or you can do what Jonathan explains in this entertaining educational video about textile printing. The other instance is when we work with screens in the washout booth. Any splash backs from those chemicals can get onto the lenses of your glasses. Degreasers will be the most benign but what about reclaiming chemicals and haze removers? With these few tips you won't have to worry about that anymore.
