So here’s a quick tutorial video about the new Amex water based textile inks I am selling on my ecommerce site. In this educational screenprinting video we discuss fibrillation which often occurs with water based inks no matter what you do. You’ll get to see a black water based ink print up close before washing and after washing a few times. Included are a few tips on avoiding fibrillation when working with water based inks and why it occurs in the first place. The results were actually excellent and even after several more washings the shirts still look great. I’m actually wearing one that has been washed at least a dozen times in the video. As you can see it looks awesome. Remember, the up close shots tend to exaggerate everything some. While you can see some fibrillation, the shirt looks great and it has a deep rich black color to the print. But that’s how I roll. I am honest, truthful and straightforward.
