Plastisol shrinking on garment after washing and drying
Posted: Mon Feb 18, 2019 8:16 pm
Hello everyone!
I'm writing to see if anyone has some solution to a current disaster!
I had been drying/curing the garments with a heat gun with rather good results, but sometimes not consistent in some part. So, trying to become a bit more "pro" and get a more consistent dry, I recently bought a flash dryer (very basic one though, but it gets hot enough).
Problem: Curing with the new flash dryer goes ok, but after washing and using the dryer the ink seems to constrict in some sections. This never happened when using the heat gun.
After that I did some tests
Tried washing only and air drying the garment, it got "better" but still gets some shrinkage.
The garments are gildan "100%" cotton (black color)
Plastisol area causing trouble is a home made grey ink three passes of ink using 180lpi screen
If anyone has an idea abot this please share.
Meanwhile Im back on the heat gun wagon!
Have a great week!
