Here’s another ISS Long Beach trade show video from the Ranar booth. In this screenprinting video I am printing the Amex water based textile ink. Here you can see I am printing black water based ink. I even talk with spectators and take a photo with one of our YouTube viewers. The show was a lot of fun as usual and it’s always a pleasure to meet with people who watch my YouTube videos. It was a breeze to print the Amex ink and all I had to do was back flood to keep the ink flowing on press. I even had a ventilation hood above the press and it did start spewing out cold air at about the same time I started printing. But no worries. This Amex water based ink is easy to work with and there is even a retarder additive you can use to make this ink almost like working with plastisol. Seriously, you could take a 10 minute smoke break if you back flood and use the retarder and nothing will get clogged. This water based ink is thin but not runny. It has a consistency of cake frosting so it will not run all over the screen. That means you can work with 110 and 125 mesh easily.
