Here’s an educational screenprinting video geared towards the home screen printer or people using “home brews.” Sometime you may have a situation where your film positive is translucent and it will allow light from your exposure unit to pass through a little bit which results in semi-curing the emulsion where you do not want that to happen. The solution at home is often to print 2 pieces of film and double them up. But some have difficulty in lining up the 2 films precisely. This tutorial video shows you 2 different ways to achieve the same thing. This tutorial video will teach you an easy way to line up the art on the films exactly so you do not have any resolution loss at the edges or misaligned art. I also talk about why it is not such a great idea to double, triple or quadruple film and I explain another special method you can use where film density is irrelevant.
