Warped Glass?

Hello Jonathan and All,

So I have dialed in all my exposure problems and had several decent exposures...only to have a new problem pop up (I feel like I'm playing whack-a-mole).

The glass on my exposure unit is warped and now negatively affecting exposures. I am not using a lot of weight (maybe 30lbs tops).

Is there a way to "un warp" the glass or am I stuck ordering a new piece of glass? And what could be causing the warping towards the side?

I use a huge piece of foam, then a piece of plywood then the weight.

Thanks so much for all the help along my journey!

Hello there,

That is very odd. Usually glass will not warp unless it's very thin and exposed to excessive heat. But I have never seen this personally. I have no idea how to work with glass that way so I would recommend buying a new piece that is a bit thicker. I think we use 1/4 inch non coated glass on our exposure units.

Usually only people who use Plexiglass will see this issue.
