When you’re first starting to learn how to screen print tee shirts it may be that stretching your own screens can be problematic. There is a lot to learn when starting your screen printing project. Emulsions, screen exposures, mesh prep, reclaiming and more all can be a lot to take in and understand. Actually printing the tee shirts is a learning process as well. Many people attempt to stretch their own screens made of wood. They will even undertake building the frame out of wood. In this tutorial video I share with you my thoughts on this subject and I explain my opinion in detail. Here you’ll even get to see how the cyanoacrylate glue is used when stretching metal screens on a pneumatic screen stretcher. Follow along as I show you a manual screen stretcher and explain some of the pitfalls you can encounter. If you have ever thought about making your own screens while still being relatively new to the entire screen printing process, then you’ll want to watch this educational video. I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching.
