Combine Screenprinting And Airbrushing On White Tee Shirts Or Black Satin Jackets
Here’s a very cool photograph of a white tee shirt that has a black ink screen print on it but also has some air brushing. So the black line art is screen printed in black ink and the color is all airbrushing. The translucent airbrush paint does not cover or alter the black screen printed ink. Therefore you can airbrush right over it and there is no problem. The result is a tee shirt with a design on it in full color. Airbrushing can be minimalized for larger print runs and it’s an inexpensive way to be able to charge a lot more for a 1 color tee shirt print run. Think about adding only 1 or 2 colors for ease and consistency. Paper stencils may also be used to help guide the sprayed paint onto the desired areas. You can also do this with black satin jackets of any kind where you screen print white ink and then air brush the white ink. The translucent airbrush paint will disappear into the black satin jacket shell. It may also work on other dark nylon jacket shells. Be sure to do testing before you promise anything to your customers.
