What printer to buy for positives?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum.

I am sick and tired of going to the one and only place in my general area that can print on transparency. Buying 2 copies and overlaying them. Etc.

Right now I am mainly printing t shirts only and dont need to print anything too large, but definitely a little bigger than my epson office printer.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Ive seen the talk about the Epson 1430 /1400

What would be the next step up from this?
And are you guys having to overlay positives with the 1400/1430?

The Epson 1400 and 1430 can print up to 13x19 sheet films and it makes a great film positive. if you use a good water proof inkjet film, like mine ;) then it will be easier to make the film positive as well.

Check out this video for tips on using the Epson 1400 with the standard inks.

Anything bigger would be much more expensive and would likely use roll films. 13x19 is actually pretty large for a tee shirt design usually.

Thanks for the reply. I found some more valuable info on your forums, as i probably posted before doing some enough research.

I have found an Epson Stylus Pro 7880 for a smokin deal in my area.
Think I will go with that.

I was interested in purchasing some of your film, but doesnt seem like you offer it on a roll? Is that a possibility?

You're very welcome. I'm happy to help out where I can.

Currently I only stock the sheet films. I may add rolls in the future.
