I have a quick question, I use an epson 1440 to print my positives, I am currently using A3 100micron film and it works fine but in South Africa it's stupidly expensive. I found a supplier that sells 200micron inkjet films for half of what I am currently paying. Does anyone know how/if it would affect the outcome at all?
I use Separation Studio/Accurip so atleast I can change the ink droplet weight to compensate if need be.

I think it will work fine if the printer can feed it properly of course. So do a test to see or you would need to call Epson to see about the specific details for the 1400 in terms of microns. We use 5 mil inkjet film here and I have no clue what that translates into in terms of microns.

Otherwise if it is a good WP inkjet film it should work fine I would think. I know I send all kinds of thickness papers through my 1400 and it seems to print fine.

Hi Jonathan, once again thanks for your prompt replies.

I think I'll have to take a chance with it, they won't give me a sample as it's a specialist product that they have to order in. I had a look online, it seems 200micron = 0.2mm(1mm = 1000micron), so if you do 5mm films it should work.
