Idk What I'm Doing Wrong!

Post by randaking84 »

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on. I have a screen that I've used before & printed shirts just fine on it. Now, the ink is caking up on one side & depositing too much ink on some spots. [This is also happening with other screens I've used before]

I'm thinking my platen might be warped. It's a homemade platen & that's really all I can think of since I've printed on these screens before. Any ideas? TIA

Sounds like you have it. A warped pallet can cause a variety of print problems including what you describe here. Check your pallets with a straight edge and if you’re doing a lot of flash curing for multi colors or for the final cure you may want to think about getting aluminum pallets.

MDF and other wood type pallets warp over time from heat and exposure to chemicals. Mostly from the flash cure heating though.
