Re: HELP-red ink
It may seem crazy to ask but do you have enough spray tack down? Could the shirt be rolling on you?

If you're not going to go all the way then why bother going at all.

Greg, that really isn't a crazy question. I know I am trying to go too far between spraying because I don't like it when it is first sprayed. That could be a possibility, I am just wondering why it is just on the thinner red color and just on one side.

How about your screen tension ?
Did the sharp edges of the letters get blown out while washing out the screen ?

Is the backside of your screen clean? Take some tape and stick it on the image area on the substrate side of the screen. When you lift it away it'll pull any ink off the screen. Or try wiping the screen off.

Re: HELP-red ink
Yeah I’m guessing then this may be a flooding and stroking issue. You’re going to have to practice until you get it right if the screen is paralleled to the pallet and the squeegee is new and nor warped. The pallet cannot be warped and the off contact is low then it’s the printing that may be the issue.
Wipe the underside of the screen after each miss print and try to figure out what is wrong with what you are doing. In the end if you have everything set up properly then it is a human issue.
Or it could be possible that the ink should be switched to a better high opacity ink. Is this ink as thick as plaster or what?

Re: HELP-red ink
I will be trying all of these suggestions. The platins are aluminum and brand new so they are not warped. The squeegee is brand new also and been used for only 4 jobs so far. The off contact looks low and level but I am still screwing with that. The ink is pretty thick stuff, it is made from Ryonet just for this purpose. I am just puzzled why it is just on one side and it is on the same side of the crest and also the large back design so I wouldn't think both screens are blown out. I did think about what Greg said about spray tac. I was thinking about it and I have a bad habit of spraying adhesive in a very tight pattern right down the middle of the platin, so....I may not be getting enough spray tac on the edges of the platin and this seems to be where the problem is. Other than that this is the first job I just have not been able to finish so far and don't want to move on until I have resolved the problem.
Thanks for all the help.

Re: HELP-red ink
Also the screens are alluminum and new so the tension looks fine. I am thinking the issue is something simple like spray tac or more complicated like my flood and stroke. I watched Jonathan's video and have been giving it a double flood and stroke but I have tried a single flood and stroke also and so far no success .
Thanks for all the help.

You're welcome.
Well I was building that but it cost me way too much money in website maintenance so the listings here only go up to a certain point:

But you can always search my uploads on YouTube directly. Just search the keywords for your question.
