stencil or emolsion ?

Post by jbright33 »

hi looking to get into screen printing and have not made the investment yet. I own a small vinyl decal business that I run out of my house and im looking to get into screen printing cause I always have customers asking me if I do it instead of heat transfer. my ? is does the rhinotech stencil work good I have been leaning towards it cause it is a lot less work and more space efficient and also don't have to worry about more chemicals in my house and washing them down my drain and also lighting. just looking to see if anyone had bad experiences with this or if this stuff works good. or should I just go with the emulsion. just don't want to spent a lot of money just to see it fail.

Photo emulsions or capillary films are the most reliable and detailed methods of screen printing. The dry stencil works very well but it can be particular. You’ll need a very good working order laser printer and some work better with the system than others.

I have heard people have great success and others don’t like it so it depends on many factors. You need to read the dry stencil threads in the RhinoTech section and ask Leadfoot about it.

She is our resident expert on the process.
