If you’re printing straight out of Photoshop directly to the printer you could set the print settings to best. This blog post may help as it has tips for the Epson 1400. So you could duplicate the settings to the best of your ability on the 1100 and see what happens.

I am unfamiliar with the specific settings of the 1100 so this is pretty much what I can offer.

Hi Jonathan,

I was reading your blog "Outputting Spot Color Inkjet Films Without RIP Software" and I know that instructions can vary form different versions of software but I can't find the Paper Options to choose the Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy or any other type of paper to see if I can get a darker film. Right now I have to run the film twice through the printer to get it darker enough.

Yeah the instructions are actually for the 1400 but if you can find the similar adjustments then it may help out. Any inkjet printer should have similar settings but not all will have the advanced stuff like high speed and such.

That is amazing you can run your film through twice and get it to match up. Mine would never do that. I don’t think it possibly could... LOL ;)

Thanks for the reply Jon,

Yes, I used to have the 1400 too and I was doing the same, running the film through twice and get it to match up 99% of the time. I didn't no about the settings you mention in your blog.

Right know I have an Epson WF-7010 and I print the images using rich black settings like I read in one of your post but still not black enough.

If anyone use an Epson WF-7010 with Illustrator let me know what settings are using for the printer, thanks!
