I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who signs up to use this forum. It has been the website and the YouTube audience who have brought Catspit this far and we are counting on the same individuals to help make this forum a valuable learning resource for all who visit.

You can post as many links as you wish in your posts and if you would like to embed YouTube videos use the following code:

[youtube] PLACE VIDEO URL HERE [/youtube]

That will effectively make YouTube videos show up in your post. We encourage the sharing of information relevant to learning how to screen print and videos are a big part of that. But please remember this is not a place to spam and promote commercial business or services with abandon.

I welcome anyone who wants to help others learn to screen print tee shirts no matter who they are but in the end if I feel that you are using the forum to advance your business rather than helping people to learn how to screen print, you may be banned without notice.

I would like this forum to be a friendly community that is not over run by commercial interests. I built this part of the website for the people. People who want to learn screen printing or genuinely have an interest to help others learn.

To all the vendors and commercial screen printers out there; welcome but please do not abuse this free forum. If you have any questions about the use of this forum or allowable actions please feel free to ask here. I’ll be happy to help you contribute positively to the forum.

A huge THANK YOU for putting this together. I am new to screen printing. So new that my equipment just got delivered 2 days ago. I am stoked about growing my business and am grateful that this medium exists. I'm sure I'll be posting tons of questions and when I can, answers. I hope to get to know other printers here.

You are totally welcome and I thank you for being so enthusiastic about the new forum. Thanks for signing up and I look forward to seeing your contributions. And of course I’ll answer as many questions for everyone that I can. But I hope you all start helping each other here too.

Welcome and good luck!

Thanks Fish! I appreciate the sentiment. It has been a lot of work to build and it takes quite a bit to maintain as well. I do love doing it and if I can start to make some money too then that enables me to keep doing this. And take it to the next level. So the new website and forum belongs to the Catspit audience because without you all this would not exist now.I am very happy to know that Catspit has helped you in your screen printing efforts. That makes me very happy.

Yeah, you should totally post down in the community forum for your social networking profiles and your screenprinting website. I made a special place for sharing that stuff and networking with your colleagues. You can post Twitter, Facebook and links to your website for everyone to connect and check out.

Post a new topic for your business here:

http://www.catspitproductionsllc.com/fo ... m.php?f=30

That will help get things going down there too! I’m pretty sure you can post the entire URL with the http:/ and it should become a live link. Like the one above. No special code needed I think... LOL.

I’m still learning about my forum functions too. :)

Not just new to this forum, but forums in general. I have searched around tshirtforums.com and its nice, however this one seems to be more down to earth and having more beginners which I like since I am one. I been printing for about 2 yrs. now. Strictly t shirts with plastisol ink, and the most colors I have ever done is 3. Started with gimp cause its free and easy. Then I bought photo elements 7 which I dont think was the right software for me, I still just use gimp. Recently got corel and need to spend time learning it. I want to be able to do it all. I think it starts with software though, which is tough sometimes cause I just want to print, and learning computer stuff dont feel like printing, but I know its important. Any how rambling now. Hello all, Im happy to be here. Jonas Freeman, Hayden, Idaho. Its dumping snow and my shop is freezing!

Thanks this has been very helpful. As for the weather, I am expecting single digit temps. soon, and I have a concrete floor, burrrrr. Im getting a big torpedo heater soon that will heat the place up in a hurry and then the conveyor dryer can fight to keep it that way. Constantly checking shirt temps in the cold. Some times run them through twice just to make sure. The inks sometimes need to be worked back and forth with the squegee on the screen at first.
