Not sure if have this in the right place or not. I have watched many videos trying to learn the foil process, most of the time they they foil just peels right off with no problem. It seems to me like my foil is releasing from the carrier sheet very well. Im printing thru a 86 mesh screen with adhesive, flashing for about 10 seconds, pressing for 15 seconds at 330, letting it cool, then peeling. If anyone could take a look at the video i put up and see if there is something im missing, or if it seems like the foil im using isn't peeling very easily, it would be great.
Thanks

Re: need help with foil
Hmmm... I've only done foil a couple times and haven't had this issue. It seems like your process is correct. Wonder if it's the foil itself. I would suggest contacting the foil manufacturer unless someone else knows what's going on here.

Re: need help with foil
This is a good spot
I have never had that happen myself either. But foil can be a bit strange at times depending on the foil and the adhesive. My first guess would be to say to experiment with cure times for the adhesive.
Are you sure it was tacked enough to work properly? I wouldn’t be afraid of curing the adhesive. It should still work just fine. I might try that first. Increase the flash cure for the adhesive and see if anything changes. Maybe lesson the pressure on the heat press too. But if that does not work then...
Then do what Apeshirt suggested and call your supplier for technical help.
Either way, let us all know what the solution is if you would be so kind.

Re: need help with foil
Quick update, ordered some new foil, ryonet is sending me a replacement, but i still wanted to try a different brand. Got some crown roll foil, pressed with heavy pressure 330 for 15 seconds, and it peeled off super easy with great coverage. I didn't even need to hold the shirt while peeling.

So a different brand worked without issue? If so, please keep us up to date when you get the replacement of the same brand you had trouble with.

Cool, let us know how the replacement foil works. Maybe it was just a bad roll
