Hi All -
Currently I use capillary film to create my stencils and I have noticed that when I am washing the screen out that the stencil washes out, but the emulsion itself starts to wrinkle and almost shrink. I am not sure why this is happening. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Screen Burning Help
Hmmm, it sounds like you are simply spending too much time in the washout booth. If the stencil washes out and looks decent but the cap film starts to wrinkle then it would indicate being soaked with water.
You may also be experiencing some emulsion to mesh adhesion issues. Try prepping your screens thoroughly with degreasers and haze removers. Then try to reduce the amount of time in the washout booth. If it is taking too long to washout the stencil you may want to reduce the exposure time and see if you can find a happy medium between the stencil washing out and wrinkling.
You should be able to washout the stencil before the cap film gets soaked with water. So you may have to experiment with the density of your film positives and exposure times.
