Catspit works with SingleStep™ laser, heat transfer paper
Just wanted to post this video that Jonathan produced on SingleStep™:
Appreciate his candid remarks, especially part about having the right equipment with accurate temperature control to ensure that you are able to produce the best print possible.
We've actually laundered both blends and 100% cotton shirts using SingleStep™ and SingleStep™ w/foil many, many times over and we are pleased with results. As Jonathan mentioned, it's important to test before selling to your customer so that's why we pre-test, as well.

and here is link for heat press: http://www.rhinotechinc.com/screen-prin ... at%20Press
Really appreciate all the comments and questions.

I meant that there was still a little color on the transfer backing. That is not unusual for digital transfers in my experience as long as you don’t lose any part of the image.

You just have to try to get the temp and times down exactly. But as long as it does not adversly affect the print then it’s fine either way.

Re: Catspit works with SingleStep™ laser, heat transfer pape
I got a sample pack of this just to try out and it is pretty neat. Have to work on getting the temps right like you said. last test I did the heat press freaked out and heated up rapidly so the paper would not release from the shirt at all. It was very weird...must have been a surge or something of some sort. I only use the heat press for the dry stencil system but thought it might come in handy for people wanting single tees and such. Thanks for the detailed video Jonathan!

You’re welcome! Thanks for trying out the transfer paper. It’s pretty good stuff.
Check out this thread on the subject for the whole rundown including a wash test. That’s right, I just uploaded a video about a wash test of this very product and it was a nice surprise.

It’s true I think the timing and heat are more critical with the paper but once you have it dialed in it seems to work very well.

Re: Catspit works with SingleStep™ laser, heat transfer pape
Appreciate the discussion and insight. So correct about ensuring that temperature and times are accurate. Again, here are steps when printing w/SingleStep ™.
• Print design in mirror image with a recommended GO UNO printer.
• Use heavy paper setting.
• Place shirt on press. Heat press shirt at 330 F. for 5 seconds to remove moisture/wrinkles.
• Position image on shirt.
• Heat press for 25 seconds; let cool for 5-10 seconds.
• Peel paper off surface.
• Place shirt back onto press.
• Place parchment paper onto shirt.
• Heat press for 10 seconds to set design.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you need more help, have questions, etc.....It is a cool product!
