centering tees on press
Does anyone have a trick or tip to give regarding centering a tee on the platen? I know it's nearly impossible to get every shirt perfectly centered but what is a good technique to ensure they are close? I've eyeballed the seams in relation to the edge of the platen and the tag to the center of the neck platen. Yet, some shirts have gotten too far offset.

Yes, check out these videos:
That should help out. It takes a little time and experience to get the hang of it to do if fast and consistently. But you’ll get it after a while.

Thank you! I like the cross hair idea. I'll give that a try.

Jon, what a professional like you will do if by mistake you print a t shirt and realize the job it´s not well centered? and assuming you´re not at ease with it, you let it pass and deliver it or do you replace it? (I could sound silly but It´s a common sittuation, mainly when printing a hundred or more t shirts)

You’re doing quite well with the English and I’m happy to have you here posting your questions. I understand you pretty well I think
For me I am a perfectionist. If any shirts are printed crooked then I would take a loss and reprint them. Word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertisement for a small screen printing business so you need the customer to be very happy with your work and service.
You never want to be embarrassed by your own print work. Always do the best job you can otherwise you will end up printing for no one in the end. Unless you spend a lot of money on advertisement and keep getting new customers.... LOL

Yeah I understand your point very well, I consider my self a perfectionist (in a rookie way ) too, I consider better replace that wrong print instead of lossing a client (all new clients by the way in my case).
Thanks for answering Jon!

Re: centering tees on press
I totally agree with Jonathan on this...I would rather take the loss than risk losing potentially hundreds or even thousands of dollars in future business. Main thing is to ensure everything is centered well and take your time so you don't have to replace a whole run and maybe just one or two here and there. Sure you want to get as much done in less time but is eating into your profits worth the speed? The speed with accuracy will come in time.
