Ink removal
I know there are products to buy to remove uncured plastisol ink spots. I am curious if there is a way to do it in an emergency situation if you don't have any manufactured producrs, ie Plasti-Solve.

Re: Ink removal
I have always used a little press wash on a paper towel to remove small spots of uncured plastisol inks. I do that a lot when the spot is very small or when I am out of spot cleaning fluid for my spot cleaning gun... LOL Whatever you might use on press I would test on some rag shirts but I am using the RhinoTech environmental press wash featured in this video:
So far I have not had any problems with staining or discolouring the garment. But otherwise it’s probably best to use a spot cleaning gun with spot fluid after it’s cured. Less likely to have any bleeding issues with the uncured plastisol ink that way.
Let me know if that helps you out. Thanks again for posting!

Re: Ink removal
Hi, thought I would share my idea with you that works for me, and only cost me $20. I got a home depot bucket buddy and then taped a lil funnel on the end and screwed it to my counter next to my spot cleaning gun. When I have a spot I simply turn on the bucket buddy wet dry vac. and place the shirt on the funnel. It sucks the shirt down perfectly and holds it in place, plus it sucks in the liquid to the bucket and also dries the shirt area. Much cheaper and less space needed than the real exhaust spot cleaner thingee. Hope that helps some one. works great for me. haha, havent quite figured how to use my camera in a way that dont paste side ways pics.

Re: Ink removal
in your video you were saying how you dont have any set up and just hold the shirt or what ev. I highly suggest this method., unless you bought a fancy one by now? I did steal this idea from a store front shop I visited. Actually didnt know there was any better way til I went to buy the gun and saw all the other fancy set up things.

Re: Ink removal
I just don’t use my spot cleaning gun very often so I do not have a special set up for it. I found it pays more to work a little slower and make sure your hands are clean while you work. Take the time to check for pinholes too. I hate having to go back through the order to remove pinholes ore fingerprints.
Too much wasted time for me. I try very hard to do things right the first time around.
