Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film
I am also wondering for what reason the 11 x 17 carrier sheet and the receiver sheet are not cut the same size??? Makes marrying the two more difficult when you are maximizing your image area,,Anyone else experiencing this issue of mismatched sizing?

Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film
I believe the reason for the size difference is to ensure people do not accidentally try to run the "adhesive" sheet through their laser printer. That will definitely do some damage if not ruin the fuser, etc. I had asked a year or so ago when I first started using the dry stencil about the smaller size and if they would make it bigger, they said then they were looking into it. With the sheets not able to print to the edges, they have that quarter inch or so border around them, it is just a pain getting it lined up sometimes but overall I understand why the difference. I definitely would not want to accidentally run the wrong sheet through!

Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film
Thanks for the response, I might go along with that line of reasoning, if I or someone was unable to see the warnings built into the paper which clearly identify which sheet TO put and which sheet NOT to put into the printer. The large specialty coatings plants (like the ones Avery Dennison has) have trim waste on both sides of those huge rolls. I realize grain direction and maximizing the yield of sheets out of a parent sheet may be an issue, or even a "closest metric equivalent" if the sheet coating facility is in a foreign country...perhaps....I waiting to hear from the experts to weigh in on this issue of..why the receiver not being properly sized to the carrier at 11 x 17 and why there isn't 12 x 18 common prepress tabloid size available? ...
Also, you mentioned something about not being able to print to the edge by 1/4 in...you have the Oki uno right? Will it not print full bleed 11 x 17 on a 12 x 18 sheet?.....hmm..
..peace

I have the Go Uno and primarily use the 11x17 dry stencil paper...it does not print in a full bleed, it has the border around it automatically and my understanding is that cannot be changed, just how it is.
Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film
Just wondering. I just ordered some dry stencil film from Catspit and hope that it is good for water based textile ink. I saw a mention about the Rhinotech CH hobby dry stencils in which someone said this was the type for waterbased ink. Does anyone know if the regular (not CH) will be okay with textile ink? Thanks.

As far as I know it will do water based textile inks as well as plastisol. Where did you see this CH hobby stuff?

Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film
Okay I see it now. It says it is specifically made for WB inks. I'll have to add this to the Catspit site for you all. Just give me a few days

Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film
Hi, Can anybody of you guys tell me, if I can buy this stencil film in europe? It would be easier for me to order at a distributer in the EU.
When I will order in the US I have to purchase higher shipping costs, I guess and may be at least I have to pay any toll fees...
Kind regards
Alex
