This educational video is about what I know on vector vs bitmap or raster art. I’m sure there are more technical explanations of how these different types of screen printing artwork render themselves but this should give you a basic idea of the fundamental difference. Many people use Photoshop to create screen printing graphics and that’s great. In fact you will need to learn how to use Photoshop for your print work art. But the first place you should start is with vector art and vector software and there are a couple of reasons for that. This video touches on these things and gives you my recommendations for screenprinting artwork creation. Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw create vector files whereas Photoshop makes image files. Learn about JPEG, PNG, and TIFF file formats and what size would be suitable for Illustrator to convert to vector.
