How To Screen Print Tee Shirts: Can You Reclaim Screens Without A Pressure Washer?

Here’s an educational screenprinting video that covers the question of using a pressure washer when reclaiming or stripping screens. Many people will call me and say that their emulsion remover is not working. Or even worse they call me and tell me my emulsion remover is not working. This is the first question I ask them. Are you using a pressure washer? And do you know what the answer inevitably is? No. That’s correct. No. So there are many people who seem to think that emulsion remover will work with a garden hose, shower head, or kitchen sink spray nozzle. This video will demonstrate why you will need a pressure washer for many screens. While some screens will reclaim very easily, in commercial screenprinting we will frequently encounter screens that are more difficult to strip. This is where the pressure washer makes that possible and quite frankly it makes your work much easier. Check out this video and watch as I demonstrate different attempts to reclaim screens with just a garden hose.
