Trying to silkscreen on glass.
Trying to silkscreen on glass. Want to use the inkjet film but am unsure what to do after the design is printed on the film. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Re: Trying to silkscreen on glass.
After the design is on the transparency, you expose the screen with the design between the light source and the emulsion/screen mesh. There are a lot of steps needed and specific ink/emulsion needed to print on glass. I don't have the info on hand but it is on the forum I believe.

Start by watching the catspit videos. Your question is like asking "I have a can of gass how do I drive a car". Sorry if that sounds a little mean but It would take hours of typing to answre that type of question.elvenwulf wrote:Trying to silkscreen on glass. Yes this is a very open question and it does sound like you'll need to review some material before proceeding. Try these playlists:

Re: Trying to silkscreen on glass.
You'll need a specialty ink for printing onto glass. I'd suggest checking out the tech sheets on some of the inks out there, starting with some of the ones available from Nazdar to get an idea of what's needed: Nazdar's Glass-compatible inks
The ink you get will probably require you to use an emulsion that is highly solvent-resistant, so you'll need to make sure you pick an appropriate one for coating your screen to make the stencil.

Re: Trying to silkscreen on glass.
You should use high quality ink and sheet as well. Glass is the friction less surface as compare to t shirt so it become slightly difficult to print the glass
