DIY Dip Tank Ideas?
I am really wanting a dip tank for cleaning screens and will purchase a good one most likely from Jonathan when I have my shop outside the house. Until then I need to come up with something that will work for a year or so and would be kept outside. I do not have the ability to cut wood, etc myself since we do not have any of the necessary tools or a workbench...so I am talking very basic and what I can do with limited means. Ideas or suggestions?

Sounds like me... LOL
I couldn’t build much either.
I have used flat trays for photography and such before but I’m not sure if that would be great for an outside set up since it would be difficult to cover and keep. But any water proof tray flat enough and big enough to hold a screen or 2 deep can work as a shallow dip tray, if you will. It uses less emulsion remover but takes up more space.

That's a great idea if it can fit a 20x24 screen then something like that might work well too. I like that.

I didn't see it on your print supply page, but do you offer a 2-in-1 ink degrader/emulsion remover for dip tanks, or in this case, recycle bins ?

Re: DIY Dip Tank Ideas?
No I don’t. Not sure if I would honestly. I have found emulsion remover works best after the ink is removed and 2 in 1 chemicals tend to perform less than their dual counter parts. A degreaser with wetting agent or haze removers that degrease will work pretty well so some 2 in 1 chemicals are fine.
But for efficient and effective emulsion removing, I would recommend cleaning the ink off the screen before any emulsion remover is used. But to each his own. That’s my personal opinion and preference.

I thought about one of those but it looks like it tapers down in width which I assume will make it too narrow when you get down to the middle and below...Dip.Schlitz wrote:Something like this?
