Here you can discuss any issues related to working with plastisol screen printing inks. This would include curing, mixing colors, additives, brands, usages and much more.

Thank you, I’m very happy to hear you enjoy my videos. Thanks for watching them.

I would suggest a press wash if you intend to reuse the screen or an ink wash when you will reclaim the screen. Press washes are less aggressive and can be used on press to clean ink off screens and for final clean up when the screen will be stored and reused.

Ink wash is best to use when you are cleaning ink off a screen that is to be reclaimed. This video should help out:

You can get environmental screen cleaning products for use on a septic system here:

If you want drain safe chemicals that can be sent down a drain connected to a city municipality water treatment system then you can use these chemicals:

But basically you need to use a solvent made for plastisol inks. Then it should be much easier to clean screens. And make sure to clean them immediately after you are done. The longer you leave ink on screen the more difficult it is to clean.

What do you all use to clean the plastisol ink from your screens and squeegees?

If you're not going to go all the way then why bother going at all.
