Emulsion Washing Out Issues

Post by yourkreationshop »

Hey Everyone!

I'm farily new to screen printing and have been printing screens for a few weeks and ran into my first issue. For some reason the past 2 screens that i have tried to burn and washout have had issues with the design washing out. When i start to washout the screen all looks well but then the crisp edges start to washout and the area where the tape held the transparency begins to washout as well. I have uploaded a pic of the issue. Im using RYONET RXP Dual Cure Emulsion, 500 watt halogen light about 12-15 inches away for 13 mins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

how old is the emulsion? If it was mixed for more than 12 weeks it may be beyond its useful life. if it is fresh then you need to increase your time.

I agree with Saati. The dual cure emulsion is either too old or you need more exposure time.

OR..... you need a better emulsion. Yes, I said it ;)
