UV LED's for exposure unit

Post by kajun1950 »

I am waiting for my UV LED's to come in so I can build a UV exposure unit. I got a 5m string (15ft) for $10 from Hong Kong, they are mounted on strip of PCB and waterproof. String is 12vdc but can be cut and soldered. I plan a box about 11 x 14 with glass plate on top. I have 12vdc source and 12v lithium ion battery. Once built will post pictures and results. Got idea from friend in UK that bought 3ft strip and made exposure unit for his printed circuit boards. Will use for screen exposure and have been playing with photopolymer letter press plates.

That sounds awesome. Ranar is developing an LED unit for 2015 as well. Please do post some pictures and let us know how that works out for you.

What a cool project :)
