Newbie!!

This is the place to talk about what it takes to get started. This would include what equipment to buy, space requirements, electrical needs and anything related to getting ready to begin screen printing. Have a question regarding what it takes to screen print tee shirts? Please post them here...

Newbie!!

Post by cozee »

Hello all! My name is Greg Cozad and I am from east central Illinois. Going this evening to pick up some used Ryonet equipment; 4/1 press, exposure unit, and flash cure unit, along with misc screens and supplies. Enough to get started any way!!! I used to screen print 1 and 2 color designs back when I was airbrushing for a living but haven't done that since 1995. Been gettin the itch lately to screen print (as a hobby/sideline business, for now!!) and happened on a deal for this equipment. Been looking around the web to see how much things have changed. Really liking the Rhinotech screen system. That is how I found this board. Looking forward to remembering old things and learning new. And trust me when I say I will have plenty of questions!!

Well you came to the right place, man, welcome to the forum! Jonathan has an ever-growing channel full of amazingly helpful videos over on youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/user/catspitproductions

Our forum may not be as huge as some of the others out there, but we pride ourselves on being a bit more congenial  Don't hesitate to ask away with any questions you may have, and congratulations on getting back into the screen printing biz! Jonathan's also got a supplies & equipment store up at https://catspitscreenprintsupply.com/ It's gotta be the only online shop I've ever came across that offers free shipping/crating with equipment purchases over $100. I've got a few additions for my apartment setup and hope to add a larger press to the mix once we move into a larger space that can handle it.

Leadfoot is our resident expert on the Rhinotech screen system, so I'm sure she can fill you in with any questions you might have on it. ;)
