FORMATS OF MY ARTWORK

HI JONATHAN SIR
I AM INTO PHOTOSHOP I DO ALL MY DESIGNING FOR T SHIRTS ON IT..I AM GOING TO GIVE MY ARTWORK FOR PRINTOUT TO THE PRINTERS ..WANT TO KNOW IN WHICH FORMAT SHOULD I GIVE MY FILES TO THEM ...SUPPOSE A PARTICULAR DESIGN HAS THREE COLORS , I HAVE SEPARATED EACH COLOR IN DIFFERENT LAYERS AND SAVED THOSE PARTICULAR LAYERS IN PNG FORMAT WITHOUT BACKGROUND LAYER, IS IT OK OR NOT ?? WHAT ARE OTHER FORMATS IN WHICH I SHOULD SAVE MY ART WORK LAYERS ?? AND I HAVE SEEN IN THAT PEOPLE USE COLOR OVERLAY FOR COLOR SEPARATION PUTTING THE COLOR BLACK ON THE THAT PARTICULAR LAYER . WANT TO ASK THAT IF MY DESIGN HAS RED YELLOW AND BLUE COLORS AND I M OVERLAYERING IT WITH BLACK AND SAVING TO A PNG FORMAT WILL MY RED YELLOW AND BLUE WILL BE RED YELLOW AND BLUE WHILE PRINTING AND NOT BLACK..I M IN NEED OF UR HELP ..PLS HELP SIR THAKNYOU

You should probably check with the specific person who you are giving the art to see what format they want it in and how they want it set up. But usually PDF's and generic EPS files are used with all text saved as curves or outlines.

You can label each film with the color ink you want since any color ink can be put on a screen. So you can include instructions and color palettes when you send the file. But the art can be in all black.

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME FROM YOUR BUSY SCHEDULE TO ANSWER MY QUERIES ..I M FROM INDIA, KOLKATA AND HERE I DIDN'T FIND ANYONE WHO HAS SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SCREEN PRINTING ..THERE ARE SOME BUT THEY DONT SHARE OR PASS ON THE KNOWLEDGE TO GUYS LIKE ME ..THANKS A LOT FOR ANSWERING EACH OF MY QUESTIONS I HAVE ASKED SO FAR IN THIS WONDERFUL FORUM YOU CREATED ..
