Ink floats under the screen

Post by baryler »

Hi Jonathan and Catspit Production Forum

I allways have the problem that the ink floats out under the screen after 3-4 prints. On paper it's from the first print.
I'm using water based ink, 54T mesh, about 5-8mm off contact.
Am I pressing to hard, to slow or fast. Not the right angle.?

Cheers

It sounds like perhaps the mesh count is too low or the flood and stroke pressure is too much. Or both ;) Also for printing papers you don't really need much if any off contact. Try an 80 durometer squeegee as well for the paper.

So you might try a higher mesh count and/or a harder squeegee and lesson the print stoke or flood pressure.
