Loading shirts
I have seen many process of loading shirts on YouTube and here. But I have a.question of why is everyone pulling the garment up instead of simply moving the pallet to the art. Then you can load all shirts or jackets to the shoulder seam. And all your garments are consistant placement. running my jobs on a m&r automatic.

Re: Loading shirts
The pallet is moved to place the art. But pallet sizes are different and some people like to have the collar off the pallet while others like it on the pallet. Also sometimes during a large print run with different sizes from small to XXL or XXXL we want to lower the print as the size gets bigger. Some people may adjust all the pallets while others will just change the placement of the garment to achieve the correct height.
So i'ts just a matter of personal preference or it may also be what needs to be done due to art to pallet size ratio. Sometimes we max out the art size to the pallet and then we have to use the position of the garment to get the print location. Does that make any sense? LOL

Re: Loading shirts
Kinda makes sense. But the measurement is from the coast right? So if the boards aremixed to the art isn't it the same if shirt is loaded to the seam regardless of shirt size?

Re: Loading shirts
There are really no set standards but generally we use the collar and sleeve to determine the left chest print or front print.
But no, as the shirt size gets bigger, your print location will change if you do not adjust it. For example on a small shirt we may want the left chest print closer to the collar than on a XXL since it would look silly so high up on a larger shirt. So as the garment size changes we need to adjust the print location if you want it to be in the same general print location for each size shirt.
AND seam sizes and lengths will change with the sizes of the shirts so using the shoulder seam for a small will have the print at a different height than on a XXL since there is more fabric between the shoulder seam and the shirt body. Follow?
So on an M&R auto you use the pallet setter to set the pallet position for the print location. Then, in my experience, we generally adjust the print height as we move from smaller to larger shirts. You can do that with the pallets or the position of the loaded shirt. Your preference.
