Franmar Chemicals

Post by Dip.Schlitz »

I was scrolling through your supply website and noticed in one of the packages it comes with a Franmar startup kit. Just wondering what all that entailed and what Franmar products you carry.

Those are mostly in the Ranar kits. They do that for pricing reasons but we do not sell Franmar chemicals per say. If you call for a refill on them they will sell you the same generic line I carry. I don't sell Franmar chemicals myself either. I use them in a couple of my kits to keep the pricing down as well but I sell mainly Saati, RhinoTech, MacDermid Autotype and the generic line of course.

Franmar's stuff is okay to start with but they are a chemical company meaning they make chemicals not specifically for the screen printing industry. It just so happens that a few of the chemicals they make can be used for screen printing too. So they made a chemical line for screen printing but they really sell chemicals to industrial users of all types.

Good to know. Just wondering because I use Bean-E-Do and Strip-E-Do and they work for me. I like them because they are soy based and biodegradable. They are getting harder to find in my area, i'm usually waiting on back order. Would you say Saati, RhinoTech, and MacDermid compare ? "Green"-wise and price wise ?

You would want to use the RhinoTech green line I sell if you want it to be user friendly, biodegradable, septic tank and leach field safe. It is just as safe or better than Franmar. And it works just like regular chemicals as far as performance. It's good stuff ;) I would think it will outperform the Franamr actually.

Currently I only stock quarts but if you like it and need gallons I can bring it in for you.
