Water based ink on water based gloss

I'm getting some vinyl pressings of my band's new album, and I would like to screen print the jackets myself.
The jackets are coated with a water based gloss, and I'm wondering if it would be appropriate to use a water based ink for this.
It seems like water based on water based would be fine- but I don't want to ruin a bunch of jackets realizing that it isn't fine. :?

I've done a handful of T-shirt designs and posters with water based inks, and I'm hoping I can just use the water based speedball ink I already have/am used to.
What do you think?

I would use a water based poster ink. Not the Speedball ink since it should be a textile ink. A simple water based poster ink should work fine on a paper product with a water based coating. You would want to do a few test prints of course to determine the necessary ink volume and see if there are any unforeseen issues.
