Re: Accidentally used tap water in emulsion
Ok let me put the tap water myth to bed. Basically the emulsion is made to tolerate a range of ph found in most of the worlds water supply. A good rule of thumb is if you can drink it safely you can use it to mix the emulsion. With that being said I would also like to comment that the emulsion has n...

Re: Metal Halide exposure time in light units?
Basicaly a "light unit" is a unit of measurement used by the light integrator. Only exposure systems that use a light integrator use this. The light integrator is a device that uses a photocell to determine how much light (in the proper wave length) is seen during the exposure. When a inte...

Re: What's going on here?
Well if it happened 3 times and it is consistant on all 3 then that is a good thing (it is repeatable results) and you are consistant in your practices. Now... what happened. I wold sacrafice one more screen by rotating the positive so that the image is rotated 180 from the last exposure position to...

Re: Need Emulsion Recommendation
Photo polymer emulsions would be my recomendation for your situation due to the fact that they dont contain diazo and are not as prone to staining everything they touch. But they will stain a little (easier to remove than diazo stains). From the Saati Chem side the PHU is a newer product and will ha...

Re: Film positives
If what you bought is for an inkjet printer and not a laser printer try the other side. Only one side should be coated to allow the ink to stick. If this is untrated material then it will not work in an inkjet printer.

Re: So is this what expired emulsion looks like?
To be honest the bucket does not need to be in a dark area for storage. Theat is why most Mfg. put them in a black bucket. As far as the screen goes, small amounts of stray light wont affect it that much. What is puzzling to me is the fact that you are getting fogging behind the 21step guide. If it ...

Re: So is this what expired emulsion looks like?
Typically when an emulsion goes bad it washes out completely since the Diazo is now not active. The pictures that you took lead me to thoughts of pre exposure somewhere. Is this a possibility in your process?

Re: Textile PV
There is a difference to what you can do and waht you should do. We recomend safelight conditions for best performance with any emulsion. With that being said......Indoor lighting is much more forgiving than natural lighting. Short exposures to florecent (office lighting) can be tolerated with texti...

Re: water based inks and emulsion
We actually just came out with a new emulsion called PHU. This is a 45% solids water resistant pure photopylmer emulsion. It does real well with discharge as well. We have found with this emulsion due to its water resistance, that it has to be developed with a high pressure hose or a pressure washer...

Re: Pregasol dried on screen during reclaiming.
I would love to give you good news but unfortunatly Jonathan is right on the money. Sometimes (I stress....sometimes) you can get the emulsion to soften up with a haze remover and blast it out with a pressure washer but for the amount of time and effort it usually makes sense to use a #11 exacto bla...
