Re: Self Weeding Color Laser Multi Surface Heat Transfer Pap

Dog tag sales have dropped a little bit but it's probably more my fault for not marketing them as much lately. Shame on me. I've been focusing on other aspects of the business that I forgot to push these. I must get back into that part.

Re: Plotter and/or vinyl printer

I just saw the knock on USCutters. I find that funny because that's what I have. After about 15 months of using it I still have no problems with it. It has paid for itself several times over already.

Re: Newbie Needs help desperately

Emulsion streaks down the sides are generally caused by not tipping the scoop coater all the way onto the screen. If the edges of the coater aren't touching the screen then streaks can happen. Typically, streaks like that aren't an issue. Placing transparencies on the screen is easier if you have a ...

Re: 5 Minute Manual Screen Printing Challenge

That's an interesting challenge. One that I can't really participate in though. I take my time to ensure the shirts are centered and straight on the platen so I'm a bit of a slower printer. Plus, my dryer has a bad heating panel so I have to run the belt a little slower than usual. I really need to ...

Re: transferring woodblock prints to screens

I apologize but I deleted your picture. Can you cover up the text and repost? Just trying to keep it clean on the board 8-) I don't know the answer to your question but hopefully someone here does. I use RhinoTech's SinglePrint transfer paper to print on wood but I'm limited to 8.5x11" or small...

Re: Contract Printing for Local Business

#1. Business is business. We're all in business to make money. At least that's part of the reason. If you turn it down they will give their $ to someone else. #2. They can't be competition if they aren't screen printing. #3. IF more people order shirts from them that means you make more money. That'...

Re: emulsion problem...

If the emulsion is still wet just run the scoop coater over it again. You may have to increase the exposure time a little as you'll have a thicker coat of emulsion on the screen then.

Re: SOCKS

lol... J-money. I'm sure Siser Easyweed Stretch would work fine. I've done quite a few cotton terry wrist sweatbands with it and those stretch a lot. Sublimation or other heat transfer are other options as well. RhinoTech has some fine transfer paper to use with either inkjet or laser printers.

Re: SOCKS

I haven't done it myself but I would make my own platen and it'd probably work great. Or maybe put a piece of cardboard inside it and try a single stroke.

Re: Sublimation gallery

Yeah, I already made my own coffee mug and put my clothing line's logo on the back of those lighters. I'm going to make my own flip flops soon. I'll also have my own water bottles, flasks and of course beer mugs 8-)
