Epson 4800 refillable ink carts
Hey everyone. We've been set up with an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 for about two months now. It's using 17" roll film and working beautifully. We finally hit the end of the main cartridge. So, I installed the refillable bulk ink system cartridge, filled it with dye based ink and continued to print f...

Re: printing image in black
It depends on your printer setup, but here's the best way I've found using rip or not and with 3 different printers to get the most opaque films: Turn off all the layers but 1. Select the wand tool and turn Contiguous off. Now click anywhere where there is your image on the screen. This will now sel...

Re: Numbers, Adhesives, Coverage, & 2 color Transfers
We use thermoflex for names. Even if it weren't a much more expensive option, I actually hate the quality you get with this type of process. I don't even like plastisol transfers. I would love to be able to direct print them, but that's just a crazy expensive and long process to set up. Vinyl might ...

Re: Which Ink To Use For Skate Decks???
Nazdar 2700 is the standard I've heard from my research. It's water based, so make sure to keep your screen flooded and work quicker than normal so it doesn't dry in your screen. Good luck!

Re: Making Film Positive
Greg, We're setting up an Epson 4800 at work right now. It's using refillable cartridges, but not blackmaxx. We're using a 17' roll for film and Accurip. I got the printer to recognize the cartridges as full, and the roll to feed through correctly. I printed out a few films and it just looks a littl...

Re: How Do You Store Your Film Positives ?
I know some people use lateral filing cabinets. It's a normal cabinet, just a lot wider.

Re: Skateboard Transfer Paper
Thanks for posting the video. I have seen this one before, but I'm being picky and wanting to print from "tip to tail". I might build a press and print a few like this though. Couldn't hurt to learn this as well. Thanks again!

Re: Textile PV
Perfect Jonathan. thanks so much! I'll put up my lights and just work the way I'm use to doing it. Quality is my main objective and I'll be just fine doing it the way I have been.
I'll give the PC a shot when I get the money to try out discharge.
thanks again!
