Re: Ink washes out

Cody, ApeShirt is correct about the stretch test. Plastisol inks will stretch without cracking or exposing the shirt fabric underneath when properly cured. Maybe we have to do a video on this subject. I think the problem here is using a heat gun. If I am to understand correctly it seems you cured al...

Re: ink issues

Yeah, I’ll probably do a video on using a heat press to cure a 1 color print. I’m not sure if I will have a multi-color job that I can use in a video to test that. And I don’t have the time right now to set up a multi-color on a white under base just to do a video. But when I get a chance in the fut...

Re: off contact

You’re welcome, it’s my pleasure to help out and share information. Well it is first a technical process, an equation or formula if you will. Then it is also a fine art or a skill, perhaps talent in some cases. There is no single way to get a good print. I have seen people do things I could never do...

Re: Curing Issues

I was using my own chart for European conversions but maybe your mesh is differently marked? http://www.catspitproductionsllc.com/screenmeshconversions.html Well like I said, I have never used a heat press for the final cure so I may have to investigate this as an experimental video or something. No...

Re: ink issues

Yeah, I’d probably do CMYK on an automatic if I could do that. Right now I can because I have a buddy with a small auto shop in town and sometimes we work together. You can do CMYK on a manual but you will have to be very consistent printing each color for each shirt to look the same. Simply printin...

Re: centering tees on press

You’re doing quite well with the English and I’m happy to have you here posting your questions. I understand you pretty well I think :) For me I am a perfectionist. If any shirts are printed crooked then I would take a loss and reprint them. Word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertisement fo...

Re: ink issues

Thanks, I’m happy to be of assistance to you. Thanks for your support. I appreciate your joining the forum and posting questions here. First off I would suggest using at least a flash cure unit to work on press that will speed your printing time up a lot even if you only have a single station press....

Re: Can I use Screens over And Over?

Yes, you problem here is that you are not using a pressure washer. You need a pressure washer to reclaim and especially to de haze and remove ink stains form between the mesh. All you need to do is get a pressure washer and use the products you have and I bet it will work fine. Washout booths do not...

Re: off contact

You’re welcome; it’s my pleasure to help out in any way. Not quite a specific measurement although a 1/8th on an inch to 1/16th on an inch would be ideal. But that can be very hard to achieve on a rear clamp press especially. So the general rule is lower is better than higher. But it will all depend...
