Equipment order = placed!
So late in the wee hours last night, I finally placed my order at catspitscreenprintsupply.com for some new equipment & supplies to make life at Fragile Branch a bit more enjoyable. When I was first considering what to get, I was only looking at buying a screen rack to convert into a light-safe ...

If all I had to deal with was an inflatable one, I'd have more room for more equipment in our little apartment

Re: how many passes with WB inks?!
You *can* use a spray bottle - I always keep one with some cool water in it by the press just in case. But, it should ideally be a last resort. Back-flooding will keep it good for the most part. Putting some fresh ink on the screen and mixing it all together with your squeegee will help too. I only ...

Re: HELP!
The only haze removers I've used are from online supply shops, so I'm not sure if any craft supply places would have them. I know Jonathan has some in the Catspit screen supply store. The Rhinotech stuff looks pretty good - fairly cheap for a quart, PLUS it degreases too, from the looks of it. Degre...

Re: About The New Web Store & Our Print Supplies Vendors
Hey Jonathan, if I was to order some equipment & supplies, could I specify in the order comments that I'd want to pick-up the equipment at the local UPS freight center rather than have it delivered to a home or work address and possibly need a lift gate? Having supplies delivered here is no prob...

Re: HELP!
Ok, I couldn't tell from the earlier pictures, but it looks like *most* of the emulsion washed out, and now you've got a ghost image left on your screen. Ghost images are usually the result of ink staining the open areas of the mesh. If that's that color of the ink you were using, you may want to tr...

Re: how many passes with WB inks?!
(Anyone else ever feel like screen printing isn't going your way?!) Oh yeah. Been there, done that... actually I go there quite often, but then I remind myself that I'm already into it and the feeling of a successful run is so rewarding once it's done. As for your issue with blurriness on...

Re: Ink looks weird on card
Somewhat related to this, I just finished printing up some 7" record covers yesterday for my label's first record release. I had gotten some black, coated, pre-glued sleeves that I was going to print with my regular white waterbased ink. I had tried burning the stencil on a 200 mesh screen, but...

Re: Ranar knockdown rack
The more I look at it, I think I may go with a job cart. For where I'm at right now, it's smaller, still holds all my screens, can be made light-proof with less material, plus I can use it to hold my supplies & such. That and if I go for an air flash soon, I can use the top of it as a surface fo...
