Re: Demineralized water or distilled?
Just to clarify...Distilled water is not necessary to mix your diazo. Our company stance is if the water is safe to drink (no nasty bacteria) it is safe to use in mixing your diazo. If in doubt bottled water is fine as well.

Re: Saati Grafic HS Diazo Mixing Question
Sorry about that. Our advertising dept decided that the health and safety information on the label is more important than directions... it seems. But typically we tell people to fill the bottle to the shoulder with drinking water (if safe to drink it is ok to use in the diazo.. does not have to be d...

Re: Emulsion Washing Out Issues
how old is the emulsion? If it was mixed for more than 12 weeks it may be beyond its useful life. if it is fresh then you need to increase your time.

Re: Metal Mesh vs Fabric Mesh
I could not have said it better myself... They perception is that stainless steel screens will last longer than polyester. In some cases you might be right but the cost is 4-5x the cost of polyester and with stainless it deforms real easy and looses tension even faster when it is abused. Follow John...

Re: sharpening squeegees
I've been looking for a way to sharpen squeegee blades without having to buy a $2000+ piece of equipment to do it. My poor squeegees are duller than my ex-wife. Lol. I know I could glue sand paper to a board and make a jig for it but was hoping for an inside trick or tip. for 2000.00 you can...

Re: What's the best emulsion?
Hu will work for short runs. We would recommend however to post expose the emulsion for medium length runs (2-300 pcs). If you are doing extremely long runs we would recommend DW.

Re: Mesh??
I have only ever seen finished screen frames at a craft store.
I have never seen mesh on a roll or by the yard.

Re: Pinholes help
Pinholes are caused by 3 things..
Coating too fast
underexposing
Dirt
Slow down your coating speed
expose longer
clean your glass and clean your positives
as far as bandaging the problem... Block out the pinholes with emulsion and re-expose it ... or use tape.
