Curious how others would tackle this project...
I've got a run of 25 black crew neck sweatshirts to do with the attached design. I'm not really sure the best way to tackle this. I've got a 4/4 manual press. I print A LOT of black garments, and whenever possible I use opaque inks and do a print/flash/print if necessary for vibrancy and decent ink ...

The dreaded thick print...how would YOU have done this job differently?
Whenever I have to do an underbase, I always end up with a thick print. For this particular job, the final prints look great, just a bit thick. Not a huge deal on regular t-shirts, but I also have to do some women's Next Level tanks and v-necks with a smaller version of the same design, but those sh...

Re: Printing felt pennants...anyone actually do it?
Thanks for the reply, Jonathan! Actually, my customer is looking for vintage style pennants (they're for a vintage motorcycle show) that are made from actual wool, so not polyester. I found one place that sells 70% "wool"/30% cotton pennants, but it's unclear if it's actual wool. I have a ...

Printing felt pennants...anyone actually do it?
So I have a customer that is interested in having some pennants printed. Surprisingly, there is very little information online about this. I even contacted a manufacturer and while they said they are commonly screen printed, they had no additional useful info to offer as far as method. I primarily p...

Re: Exposure/Washout problems
Good news...I had great success with a screen today, now we'll just see if I can keep it going. I used much less emulsion--one coat stencil side, one coat squeegee side, then a final coat on the stencil side, using the SHARP edge of the coater. I knew I was on the right track because the screen drie...

Re: Exposure/Washout problems
After doing a bunch of reading today, I'm convinced at least one of my problems is that I'm putting down way too much emulsion. I'm going to try a screen tomorrow with one coat each side using the sharp edge of the coater.

Exposure/Washout problems
Sorry if this is long-winded, but I'm hoping someone will have the patience and knowledge to point me in the right direction. I run a small sign/graphics/screen printing business part-time (soon to be full-time), and I work at a small sign shop during the day that used to do lots of graphic screen p...

Problem with two-color print "bleeding"
Hello...new to the forum, so a little background. My father has been running his own small sign and screen printing business since the 70s. I've been in the sign industry for the past 15 years, and a few years ago I started up my own sign/graphics/screen printing business. My father mostly does simp...
