Re: Transfer on seams
There is a tool that we use that will allow you to press over seams. It is called a "print perfect pillow". It is basically a piece of foam that is sewn in between 2 Teflon sheets. This raises the print surface area and allows the upper platen to have even pressure across the transfer and...

Re: Have an Idea?
There is an app for iphone and android called Tapatalk. This allows forums to be much more navigable on mobile devices. It is a paid app for the user but it is free to add it to the Tapatalk database. I would love to see this forum added to Tapatalk! I use it for all forums that I am a member of and...

Re: Numbers, Adhesives, Coverage, & 2 color Transfers
Just hit your background color for 2 seconds (this will tack it down and keep shrink to a minimum) and peel hot. Then line up the foreground color, cover with a sheet and press for the full time, temp, and pressure. Peel hot.
As for the quality...use stahls thermoflex. It is the best in my opinion.

Re: Can I Use Digital Heat Transfers On Black Tee Shirts?
Siser's Color Print media line has many options and the opacity to print and be applied to dark substrates. The only draw back the is telltale "white" boarder that is around the image. Easy fix....set a very small contour to the inside of your design and place registration marks...this way...

You can also cut cut your numbers and lettering with vinyl. Thermoflex or Thermogrip (for mesh materials) is perfect for this type of application and comes in many colors. This material can also be layered perfectly with no issues and adheres to jerseys nicely. There is also a material called GORILL...

Re: Writable Vinyl
I am not aware of any vinyl that will allow this per se. That said, there is nothing stopping them from signing the vinyl with a sharpie marker. I would suggest pressing a piece of white thermoflex onto a shirt, writing on with with a sharpie, and wash testing it. Another option...print out your des...

Re: Plotter and/or vinyl printer
If you are looking for a vinyl cutter only.... Roland GX24 or the Graphtec CE6000-60 are both excellent cutters that will accept up to 24" wide media. Both are good in their own rights. If you are looking for a unit that will print and cut... Roland Versacamm VP-540i is the way to go in my opin...

Re: How Much Does A Heat Press Cost?
I would like to add a few things to this thread with regard to shopping for a new heat press and things to look for. First...a good heat press should have an over-the-center pressure adjustment. This will ensure that even pressure is being applied across the substrate. Also, a "floating" u...
