Re: Optimum exposure time

I watched the video on proper exposure. I came across a Stouffer T-2115 stransmission step wedge numbered to 21 steps over by the Nuarc for plates. Is this the same step guide that is mentioned? Will "11" yeild my best results on the Stouffer gauge? thanks in advance. Now I have to make up...

Optimum exposure time

I am wondering how most of you arrived at an optimum exposure time for your screens? I am thinking about ussing this method to arrive at that magic number. I am first going to create several one inch by one inch boxes in Photoshop and create different screen halftone values for those boxes and fill ...

Re: Emulsion To Mesh Adhesion Issue???

What around the household can be used as a micro abrasive that will degrease and abrade mildly before imaging a new screen? Soft scrub?...Lava soap with micro pumice and a soft nylon brush perhaps? The screen will be used for the rhino method, yes, I got a nice halftone image, cant wait to put it on...

Re: 2 color Gradiant color seperation?!?

In Illustrator, working in CMYK with CMYK color sliders you can specify which 2 "spot" colors to use to make your custom gradient, use 2 channels of the C,M,Y,K, leave the other two color chanels blank. Set your screen frequency in the printer separations dialogue box, set the dot shape , ...

Re: Dry Stencil Problem

I can't wait to give the method another try with the HP5000 now that I am aware that the test I gave it might not have been on the highesst toner setting. In fact, I am looking forward to trying it tomorrow again as this mixed halftone job really needs to get out of here. I'll let you know. I still ...

Re: Emulsion peeling on complex images, but over exposed.

I'm having this issue as well....and what kind of exposure time would be common with the single point 1000 watt halogen ? I've seen people writing between 5 and 12 minute exposure times...using the ryonet style startup exposure unit...I was at 90 seconds today..with bad wash out results...the solid ...
