Re: Dry Stencil Problem

I am uploading pics of my results so you can see exactly what I was trying to accomplish and the issues involved. I did not upload the pics showing the empty baked receiver sheet but I will say that whatever toner had been on that sheet transferred totally to the screen and left a blank white sheet ...

Re: Dry Stencil Problem

Do you know of any data available to form a comparison between the Oki GO Uno and the HP 5000 and Xante, that will show fuser roller pressures or thicknesses of toner layer or fuser temps to difinitively discern whether or not it is the printer to blame for my poor results or whether it is a mesh pr...

Re: Dry Stencil Problem

That is the recommended printer, I agree. I looked at the "Xante"(Incorrectly spelled on the Rhinotech site) printers in the past. They pushed them to the printing industry for polyester platemaking for their high heat capabilities. They also are capable of handling a 12 x 18 sheet, howeve...

Re: Dry Stencil Problem

I am getting mixed results. I'm using the HP Laserjet 5000,Postscript monochrome printer with heat settings set to highest, media to vellum, 1200dpi, OEM High Yield 29x cartridge. Monitoring my variables with a laser temp gun, I used 2 different pressure settings for the heat press and found as I th...

Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film

Thanks for the response, I might go along with that line of reasoning, if I or someone was unable to see the warnings built into the paper which clearly identify which sheet TO put and which sheet NOT to put into the printer. The large specialty coatings plants (like the ones Avery Dennison has) hav...

Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film

I am also wondering for what reason the 11 x 17 carrier sheet and the receiver sheet are not cut the same size??? Makes marrying the two more difficult when you are maximizing your image area,,Anyone else experiencing this issue of mismatched sizing?

Re: RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film

Since most laser printers that are capable of handling an 11 x 17 sheet will also handle a tabloid sized 12 x 18 sheet (for registration marks, density bars, and 11x 17 bleeds) why did Rhynotech decide not to package the larger tabloid size? Thanks in advance....peace

Re: First job with RhinoTech Dry Stencil system!

I can see that my screens do in fact lay onto the bed of my heat press nicely. There are no reference points, so I made some. I can see that a "jig" could be made to make this more precise rather than an eyeball deal, that would fit around the base of the heat press and align with the ink ...

Re: Questions from post

Hi guys, I've seen a lot of Harley apparel and noticed slight variations in that "Orange", some are a bright and some are a bit darker. The only color matching experience that I can describe, or compare to, would be the mixing of PMS colors with offset inks. Early in my printing career, th...

Re: Outsourcing Screen Services

I did outsource the screen, and received an older wooden 156 with an image thats held up quite nicely for over 100 shirts and 3 runs and cleanups, but I didnt receive my stencil. So, I went by there the other day and retrieved it, no problem, but was surprised to see that the halftone that I had giv...
