Re: Kisscut self weeding paper!

That's funny because I only yesterday watched a video that suggested washing t-shirts with excess polymer left on them and that was supposed to remove it. I'm dubious because the polymer looked pretty well welded on but I'm going to try tomorrow to wash some of the failed attempts and see what happe...

Re: Kisscut self weeding paper!

Apologies for posting in the wrong section, it won't happen again. So far I have used 20 out of my 25 pack of transfer paper and all bar one has been unsuccessful and I've actually run out of things to print on. It is extremely disheartening to see attempt after attempt fail, especially as it is suc...

Re: Kisscut self weeding paper!

It didn't come with any, just the sheets in an envelope. This post wasn't meant to slur the company you understand it was simply to give a first impression from a beginners point of view. I've emailed Kisscut and requested optimum settings for the heat press which will work best with their product s...

Kisscut self weeding paper!

Hi all, I just did my first test prints with my new heat press. I'm using Kisscut self weeding paper and I thought I'd put a few words in about it. Let me just start by saying that this is the first time I have ever attempted printing anything so it may just be my inexperience but here we go. The pa...

Re: White ink printers

Thanks for the info. Just out of curiosity is there a way to substitute white by printing lighter colours? Like a really light blue or yellow? or does the printer make light colours by printing the original colour but more transparently against a white background to give the impression of a lighter ...

White ink printers

Does anyone ever think that all printers will eventually be able to print white? I know the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 has some sort of white ink ability and I have seen another video for one that prints white which is designed for heat transfers, but both of these cost about £4000/$6000 which isn't gr...

Nearl;y ready to go but just a couple of questions.

Hi, I've finally got my heat press and some Kisscut transfer paper and my pigment ink is on the way. I have a few questions though. My heat press looks impressive but it came with a single sheet of paper as documentation and is not very clear. There is a loose rubber pad that sits on the bottom plat...

Re: Advice on printing certain designs with specific noob eq

I think they only 'recommend' that they use their ink and you can use others. I'm sure it isn't much better than any other (I'm assuming pigmented!) ink on the market and is more a sales tactic then anything else. I'll be getting my heat press soon and will order a pack to try out so I'll report bac...

Re: Advice on printing certain designs with specific noob eq

Thanks for the information, your explanations are always easy to follow and helpful. The hinge clamp screen looks really interesting and I'd definitely like to give that a go but I'd need to do more research on screen printing as I've just been studying up on transfers and the like. On that note hav...
